McKay's Markets, an EMPLOYEE OWNED COMPANY, is now accepting applications for a retail leader to manage their Lincoln City location. As Store Manager for McKay's Markets, the incumbent will provide leadership to staff, exceptional customer service to guests, and be responsible for overall profitability of store.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 5:00 am – 4:00 pm

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Overall supervision of entire store operations and profitably.
• Write schedules, basic training and direct daily work lists for employees.
• Hire, evaluate, and discharge according to company policies and guidelines.
• Maintain inventory control, write orders, and supervise store suppliers.
• Perform daily book-work, weekly book-work, and oversee cash reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot store equipment: cash registers, scanners, refrigeration, EBT, and bottle machines.
• Assist perimeter departments with needs deemed necessary by their respective department heads and personnel.
• Checking and stocking freight as needed.

Other Key Responsibilities:
• Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
• Accountable for overall profits and for sales volume of total store.
• Identify problems and opportunities. Utilize management information resources when making decisions.
• Responsible for implementing and supporting McKay's commitment to diversity.
• Employee Relations: Review training and development plans, monitor, supervise and conduct employee evaluations.
• Meet with employees or customers to resolve disputes or complaints.
• Mentor, delegate, make sound recommendations for promotions, review and evaluate job performance.
• Problem Solving: Develop feasible, realistic solutions to operating problems, recommend actions designed to prevent problems, assign problems to subordinates when appropriate and refer problems to upper management when necessary.
• Planning & Organizing: Develop long range plans to solve complex problems.
• Coordinate store activities.
• Adherence to federal and local laws and McKay’s Company policies.
• Periodically check condition, appearance, and available stock of store throughout the day.
• Operate computer to prepare memos, forms, and e-mail.
• Complete paperwork consisting of forms and schedules using live mail, Word, and Excel.
• May be required to work any of the other positions in the store.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Ability to follow company customer service procedures, and demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Prior experience as an Assistant Store Manager or industry equivalent.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
